Estuarine Birds Interpretation

The Tagus is the largest river in the Iberian Peninsula, stretching across a magnificent 38 thousand hectares of natural beauty.

In this estuary there are up to 120 thousand birds.

Here, winter is the most important time of the year, as it is the least cold place in Europe.

Flanked by 6 large cities, Almada, Barreiro, Montijo, Alcochete, Vila F. Xira and Lisbon, the Tagus Estuary Natural Reserve is 14 thousand km long.
